What Your Business Can Learn From Valentines Day

Last week, everyone around the world celebrated Valentines Day. But it wasn’t only couples that celebrated this romantic holiday. Businesses honored the very special holiday by holding Valentines promo, discount, and sale to appeal to everyone preparing a very memorable date. After all, love means BIG BUSINESS to every enterprise.

Let’s take a look at what you can learn from Valentines Day.

Specific target marketing

Yes, I know what you’re thinking.

Obviously, Valentines Day target those in relationships.

But that’s not all!

With lots of people posting and commenting about their singleness for Valentines, some businesses are catering to them now too!

Take Hugot Café in Las Pinas for example. They actually have a Single Awareness Day event last February 16.

But the best for this Valentines was Spotify. They released 10 popular songs in four Valentine-themed categories such as love, sex, heartache, and even anti-Valentines! Spotify covered all of the audience demographic for Valentines Day.

An offer they can’t refuse

Businesses have provided a lot of offers for the holiday.

A two-for-one deal.

Valentines Day discount.

Lazada even has Gifts for Her and Gifts for Him.

…and a whole lot more craze to appeal and attract more customers for Valentines. Thus, they rake in more profit or revenue for their business because of the holiday.

Valentine-themed Postings

The fast food restaurant chain, Jollibee, is such a pro at this. Ever heard of Kwentong Jollibee? For Valentines Day, they post short videos featuring a love story that’s related to their restaurant.

The result?

The said videos were able to generate a combined total of over 40 million views on Facebook and Youtube.

In fact, according to Arline Adeva, JFC Brand Communications Head, the campaign more than tripled the sales of two Jollibee signature food products.

Seeing all these, Valentines Day truly is a gold mine for businesses. You better start planning and preparing for the next Valentines already!
